The southwest of Crete offers a breathtaking landscape that alternates between beaches and rugged mountain ranges, shady pine groves and flowering plains. Inspired by the variety of motifs and relaxed by the calm, there is plenty of room for careful observation and work.

Program

The aim is to capture essential impressions of the landscape and to develop your own expression. Studies of nature and details provide the impetus for transfer to abstraction and reduction. Complementary interactions of colors, lines, rhythms and structures are themes we deal with both in nature and in free translation. Various techniques such as watercolor, chalk, acrylic and pigments are used. The lesson times are approx. 5 hours a day with a longer lunch time, painting trips to Loutro planned by arrangement (joint costs 15 €).
The hotel with about 40 rooms is run by a Cretan family and spoils you with typical Greek cuisine. Surrounded by olive trees and three bays spared from mass tourism, the tranquility of an untouched landscape prevails.
